[ARWA 2026] Important Update: ARWA 2026 Registration & Refund Policy Regarding Entry Permits

Dear Participants and Colleagues,

We understand that some registrants are currently facing challenges regarding entry permits (visas) for Taiwan. Please be assured that the organizing committee has discussed this matter with ARWA officers to ensure a fair solution for our community.

To address these concerns, we have established the following updated cancellation and refund policies. Please note that these special conditions apply exclusively to ARWA 2026.

Updated Refund Policy

1. Cancellations due to Visa/Entry Permit Issues.

If you are unable to attend because you cannot obtain an entry permit:

On or before 28 February 2026: You are eligible for a refund of both the Registration Fee and the Membership Fee, minus a 10% administration fee (this is charged to cover platform processing fees incurred during payment and subsequent refunds).

From 1 March 2026 onwards: No refunds of both the Registration Fee and the Membership Fee will be possible.

2. Cancellations for All Other Reasons. 

For cancellations not related to visa issues, the following timeline applies:

On or before 28 February 2026: You will receive a refund of the Registration Fee, minus a 10% administration fee.

From 1 March 2026 onwards: No refunds of the Registration Fee will be possible.

Note ¹: According to the regulation, the Membership Fee is non-refundable for non-visa cancellations.

Note ²: Please email arwaenquiry@gmail.com directly for cancellation issues.

Action Required for Presenters

We kindly ask that all presenters please register by the original deadline, even if you are still awaiting your visa or entry permit. It is crucial that we confirm all presenters to finalize the conference program. Rest assured that if your visa is subsequently denied, the special refund policy mentioned above (Point 1) will apply to you.

[ARWA/TALD 2026] TALD 2026 Conference: Program Release

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

We are pleased to announce that the detailed program for the 2026 Taiwan Academy for Learning Disabilities (TALD) Conference is now available.

This year, TALD and ARWA are proud to jointly host their annual conferences. Consequently, the TALD 2026 Conference will be held immediately after the ARWA 2026 Conference, that is, on the whole day of 7 March. To facilitate academic exchange and provide convenience for all attendees, we would like to highlight the following three important updates:

1. Registration Policy (Important): This event is being held in conjunction with the ARWA 2026 Conference.

If you have already registered for the ARWA Conference, you do NOT need to register for the TALD Conference separately. Your ARWA 2026 conference registration receipt/badge will grant you FREE access to all TALD sessions and food.

2. Real-time Text Translation Service: To bridge language barriers and ensure every attendee can fully participate in the discussions, we will be providing Real-time Text Translation services at the venue.

This service supports both English-to-Chinese and Chinese-to-English translation. Regardless of the language used by the speaker, you will be able to follow the content via live text translation.
