Important Travel Update: Mandatory Online Arrival Card for ARWA2026

Dear Colleagues and Attendees,

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Taiwan for the upcoming ARWA!

To ensure your journey and immigration process are as smooth as possible, we want to share an important update regarding the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC). Please review the updated guidelines below to see if you need to complete this form prior to your flight.

Who MUST Complete the Form

If you fall into the following categories, you are required to register online within 3 days before your entry into Taiwan:

• Travelers entering Taiwan with a foreign passport (e.g., USA, Australia, European nations, etc.).

• Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau travelers holding an Entry Permit - Multiple Entry/Exit Permit.

Official Link: https://twac.immigration.gov.tw/ (The application is completely free of charge)

Who DOES NOT Need to Complete the Form

You are exempt from filling out the TWAC if you are:

• Entering Taiwan with a valid Taiwan Residence Permit or Residence Visa.

• A Hong Kong or Macau traveler entering with an Entry Permit - Single Entry/Exit Permit (online system).

• A Hong Kong or Macau traveler entering with an Entry Permit - Temporary Stay Permit applied for online.

(If you fall into the exempt categories, you can enter Taiwan using your standard procedures without registering for the TWAC).

Why this matters: Airlines and immigration are strictly enforcing these requirements. A fellow attendee recently noted that completing this in advance will save you significant time and stress upon arrival.

If this requirement applies to you, please take a few minutes to fill out the form before your departure. If you have already done so, or if you are exempt, please simply disregard this message.

Safe travels, and we can't wait to see you in Taiwan soon!

  Regards,
