Dr. Hsiao-Lan Sharon Wang holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at National Taiwan Normal University, where she leads interdisciplinary research at the confluence of cognitive neuroscience and educational practice. Dr. Wang has collected findings for understanding the cognitive mechanisms underlying reading difficulties in Chinese-speaking populations. Her programmatic research agenda, primarily funded through Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), directly contributes to developing evidence-based interventions for literacy challenges in Mandarin-speaking children.
