[ARWA 2024] Student Scholarship Application Reminder

Dear ARWA members,

We are pleased to announce that as with the previous years, three student conference scholarships are available for top student researchers in Asia who attend and present at the ARWA conference. Each awardee will be given HK$1500 (or US$190) and a certificate at the conference ceremony. For details, please consult the Scholarships page on the ARWA website.

The deadline for submission of application is 8th December 2023.

Please submit the following documents to the panel chair, Prof. Taeko Wydell (Taeko.Wydell@brunel.ac.uk) by 8th December 2023:

1. A separate application form for scholarship (download the Word doc application form here, fill in, and send as a PDF)

2. Curriculum Vitae in English (PDF format) 

3. A copy of your submission confirmation email to the coming ARWA conference. The confirmation should be available when you have submitted your Google / Microsoft form as an email or webpage receipt.

Each awardee will be invited to give a presentation at the ARWA conference on reading/writing development research/practice in their respective country. We extend our cordial invitation and look forward to your submission of application for the scholarship.

Those who already applied for the scholarship should have received an email acknowledging receipt of their application from Prof. Taeko Wydell. If you haven't received a receipt, please email Prof. Taeko Wydell immediately.

[ARWA 2024] Payment and Conference Registration Now Open

Dear ARWA members, Greetings from the ARWA Board and ARWA2024 Organizing Committee. We are pleased to announce that we have opened up our payment and conference registration for ARWA2024. Please kindly visit the page below, where you will be able to pay the membership dues for ARWA this year, as well as the registration fee for the attendance of ARWA2024. https://www.arwasia.org/payment Active ARWA (2024) members may enjoy special discounts on registration fees by purchasing members-only registration plans (2024M). Early registrants paying and registering on or before January 15, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8) may also enjoy special early bird pricing. If you are to attend ARWA2024 and have paid, please also remember to complete the registration procedure, by completing the form of Conference Registration under the tab of Conference on our homepage. We will also have a conference dinner (a buffet) on February 29 at Hotel Nanta with no additional fees. As a reminder, early registration for the ARWA2024 conference will end on January 15, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8). Regular registration for the ARWA2024 conference for presenters will end on January 30, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8), and for attendees who do not give a presentation, regular registration will end on February 10, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8). Dinner registration will end on on February 10, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8) as well. For a smooth participation experience, please register before the aforementioned deadlines. The Association for Reading and Writing in Asia (ARWA) 8th Annual Conference will take place on February 29 and March 1, 2024, at Jeju National University in the beautiful Jeju Island, South Korea.
