Rules regarding parental and medical leave about eligibility period
The eligibility period for the ARWA career awards can be extended for parental leave (for children born during or after the PhD) or medical leave in the following way:
18 months per child for the mother (birth date of a child needs to be reported).
If longer maternity leave was taken than 1), then it needs to be documented.
If a father took paternity leave, then it needs to be documented.
If medical leave was taken, then it needs to be documented.
The rule is based on an approach by the European Research Council that we
